20th Day: Polar Express

The twentieth day was all about the Polar Express!  Marshall was born and spent the first years of his life in Kansas City, Missouri.  KCMO is pretty much smack dab in the middle of the country, making it an epicenter for trains and railways.

What better way for Marshall to have a pajama day than to harken back to his favorite days of watching trains?

Super-Dad came through and built the kids a cardboard train to watch the movie from.  Luckily, we have plenty of boxes lying around this time of year!

This train brought to you courtesy of Target

Brad made a little door to let the kids in, put in a few stools, and a window then voila: perfect little movie viewing train

As an added bonus, I picked up some mini wooden train whistles for the kids.  They were so excited to make their train come to life.

“Choo-choo!”

We popped in the movie and the kids climbed aboard; ready to really feel like a part of the show.

All aboard!!

Enjoying pizza and cocoa with the movie

The twentieth day, Brad really came through for us.  The kids absolutely love playing with the train and it brought our movie night to life for all of us.

For now, we’re choo-chooing right into bedtime.  We hope that you’re able to create a little bit of whimsy during this holiday season!
